"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

CAYA
Community Ministries came about as a result of my personal salvation while dealing with a possibly life ending illness in 2000.  Before my surgery, I gave my life to Christ and promised him that if he would allow me to walk amongst men again that I would serve him. He not only allowed me to walk but run for him. I was healed in both body and spirit. I wanted to offer that healing to others and reconcile souls back to Christ.

I started my ministry that took the form of a gospel radio show and proceeded to spread the good news. The show and the rest of my evangelisms were going well, but the mission just didn't feel complete. In June of 2005 the vision became clear; let them know, that you can "Come As You Are".  It became clear that I had to go and seek those that weren't comfortable going to a traditional Church. Those that had been turned off or turned away from regular church. Those who were "the least of His". Those who may feel down trodden, hopeless, helpless, broke, busted & disgusted and rejected by God and their fellow man. Those who may be out on the streets, drinking, getting high, fornicating, living in all kinds of sin and who had either turned away from God or had never turned to Him at all. I had to go and flush them out from where ever they were and let them know that they were not only welcome but also accepted, that they could come to the ministry and to Him in whatever state they were in. I wanted them to come and receive the love and fellowship of God, me and everyone else here at CAYA. To give them the good news that Jesus is their personal Lord and Savior and that the Gospel is true. To give the people help, hope, love, kindness, counseling, prayer, bible study and a good foundation so they can start their walk with God. I wanted CAYA and everyone associated with it to heed The Scripture [ Matthew 4 : 19, And He saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. ]  ("You catch'em, I'll clean'em").

With that vision in mind and heart, my wife and I set out to open CAYA and perform our mission. To this day the ministry has been successful beyond our expectations.
